Shelburne Bay Park is located adjacent to the State fishing access area off from Bay
Road. There is an extensive system of trails at Bay
Park. The walking/hiking/cross country ski trail loop
is approximately two miles along Lake Champlain.
A gentle gravel bicycle/recreational path, which with
Harbor and Bay Roads, is almost three miles.
Dogs are allowed at Shelburne Bay Park,
providing they under restraint at all times.
Dog owners are required to clean-up
after their pets.
There are currently sixty-seven moorings and a floating dock system at Shelburne Bay
Park.
The moorings range in
depth from 6.5 feet to 25
feet, which are marked
with Hazelett Buoys. The
area is quiet and relatively
protected from most wind
directions.
The Town of Shelburne maintains a wait list, located at the Town Clerks Office, for the 67
moorings. The $550 mooring fee includes the use of all mooring tackle, excluding a
pennant line. Applicants will generally be accommodated on a first come first served
basis, however, the depth and spacing of moorings vary greatly and may be a factor.
Once registered on the wait list individuals will be contacted when a mooring, suitable to
their vessel specifications, becomes available.
